KALIBO, AKLAN (MKWD) – After more than a month, the Metro Kalibo Water District’s Decal Design Competition finally came to an end, and the winning design was revealed on Facebook last Wednesday, September 24.

Wenno N. Delgado, a BSCE student from Aklan State University, won the cash prize of ₱2,500. His entry—which portrayed two sprites of flora and aqua, respectively, as well as the globe in the shape of a water drop—will be developed by the MKWD as a decal and will be featured on the water district’s official vehicles.

From dozens of entries screened, only five remained to duke it out to the end. The Final Five were judged based on Relevance (30%), Overall Design (40%), and Community Reception (30%). While the latter criterion relied solely on the total number of Likes each entry received on Facebook, the former two were left to the verdict of the official panel of judges.
