KALIBO, AKLAN (MKWD) – Last Tuesday, March 24, 2015, Aklan State University’s College of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (ASU-CFMS) held a Seminar and Training on Water, Electricity and Paper Conservation at the ASU-CFMS Library, New Washington, Aklan, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN.
In support of this event and in celebration of World Water Day 2015, the Metro Kalibo Water District (MKWD) accepted the invitation of the organizers and sent a resource speaker for the Talk on Water Conservation. Executive Assistant and Press Information Officer designate Frederick Buenavidez was chosen to represent the MKWD.
Other resource speakers were Rence Oczon, Dennis C. Villanueva, and Yoko T. Mendoza for the Talk on Electricity Conservation and Dr. Razel Matilde I. Dalida for the Talk on Paper Conservation. Dr. Yasmin P. Tirol, ASU-CFM Campus Director, was on hand to award and distribute Certificates of Participation to the resource speakers. Prof. Lea I. Dulla, ASU-CFM Administrative Services Chair, provided the closing remarks.
